Babble of a Distant Star

Still working my way through the Detective Conan movies (once I get to 6 I'll switch to fansubs, and then watch the Lupin III vs. Conan movie to top it all off because that looks awesome). I watched 3 and 4 this week. The third (The Last Wizard of the Century) is notable for having both Heiji and Kaito KID in it! I really, really wish we'd gotten to see them face off. *sigh* I really enjoyed it, but I admit it gets a huge character boost for having them.

The fourth (Captured in Her Eyes) is the weakest of all the movies I've seen. The mystery is just meh (all of our suspects are left-handed! WTF?) and it really felt like they just threw out the whole gimmick of the series, that people won't listen to Conan because he's a little kid! For me this one was only worth watching for the adorable Sonoko/Ran moments. (There was Shinichi/Ran too, but you don't exactly need to go out of your way looking for that.) ... Though it's possible I'm being a bitch because I went into the movie going, "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU STOP GIVING RAN AMNESIA!" Because this has already been used in the manga AND the second movie. Quit inflicting your trope on the poor girl!

The Sonoko/Ran did make me squee, though. Not gonna lie. (I have a new ship and it puts so much in a new light! Yeee!)

Oh hey, I wrote fic for Miracle Train, so let's have that and drop this subject, yes? ^^; This one is shorter. I just wanted to write a bit of cuteness.

I finished Miracle Train and Kuroshitsuji (I've started watching the second season with slr2moons). I would like to post about that but I'm pretty sure it will just devolve into CAPSLOCKED OPINIONS.

Right now I can't sleep. I haven't slept all night and I hate everything. And I deleted the second MT fic I was writing because I'm not sure I am capable of forming a positive opinion of anything at the moment.

Fic kind-of based on a comment in ep9, though it could take place at any time.
