Drabble and babble
Feb. 3rd, 2007 01:58 amDoes anyone know if there's a fanon convention for the spelling of long Japanese vowels? I know the proper romanization is "niisan" but I feel like I've seen "nisan" a lot. (This actually applies to "Parting" below, but I thought I should put it in the entry that is not riddled with spoilers.)
Somehow, even though my brain is consumed by Naruto lately, I ended up writing a new FMA fic and digging up this old drabble for a nice editing. o.0 I am also writing some random thing that is Aya/Ken or Youji/Ken, or Aya/Ken/Youji... or something. It keeps growing for some reason. It was originally about toast, for crying out loud!
I'm sure this is only amusing to me, but I'll say it anyway... All but one of my Naruto plotbunnies are yaoi (mostly Gaara/Lee and variations thereof), while all but one of my Full Metal Alchemist bunnies are pairingless/gen (mostly brotherly fic for Ed and Al). Weiss Kreuz is right in the middle with one gen idea and one yaoi idea... both of which are trying to turn multi-part on me. ;_;
Sorry for the flist spam. These fics really needed to be separated, even though they're both FMA and really short.

I am in the happy FMA crack place
Jan. 14th, 2006 12:18 amSo I am down visiting jmtorres, and... Fullmetal Alchemist movie! OMGSQUEEEEE! *flails madly* I finally, finally got to see it. ^__________^ And then she showed me the FMA calender she got me for Christmas, and we looked through the pages making shrill noises of glee. Because it is just. that. pretty. (Were my scanner bed big enough, I would share. Not sure if it is.)
I'm in my happy fangirl place now.
( Spoilers maybe, but mostly squeeing that will make no sense, possibly even if you have seen the movie, because that is just how I squee )

Aug. 20th, 2005 07:20 pmSo... I totally forget to mention that I watched all of Fullmetal Alchemist while I was staying with jmtorres last weekend. Heck, I think I forgot to mention I was going somewhere last weekend. We watched all fifty-one episodes in one weekend.... wow. Not as brain-bending as watching all of Utena in one go, but still wow.
So the question here is who would want to throttle me for posting spoiler-laden bits of FMA fic here? (mostly inspired by episode 51, which if you've seen it, you'd understand) Who will throttle me for poking at it but never letting it see the light of day?
Also, I sent an email to Xplay thanking them for their bad review of the new Fullmetal Alchemist game. I mean, am I the only one who is pissed that they make an anime I love into a sucky game, instead of being pissed that people will actually admit the game is sucky? Hell, I don't even have time to play through good videogames!
Don't answer that. Please.
Also, I shuffled my icons! (most of them, anyway) See the terrified cheerleader? *bounce* I have been waiting so long to use her. ^_^ Love my new icons. So shiny. *cuddles them*

Randomness today: FMA again
Something I was wondering: If Ed ever does actually get any taller, won't that mean that his automail arm and leg will be too short for the rest of his body? Could he just take a hunk of metal and sort of graft it on with his awesome alchemist skills?
What if someday he got taller than Roy? That could be funny. I just want to see how the two of them would react to that. *grins* We know that will never happen. Poor little chibi.

Awesome weekend. Spent all of Saturday at my first attendence of the local anime club. Watched anime all day. Saturday was good.
Sunday was enslaved by homework. Ugh.

Anyway, I watched the first episode before my chem class, and then in class we talk about *ta da!* chemical equations, meaning the invitable rule: 'matter cannot be created or destroyed.' The coolness of this coincidence will make sense to those who have seen at least the first episode of FMA. At least I hope it will.
Yet another reason my Chemistry class is cool. Yup. That's all the rambling for now.
