Fic for this fandom multiplies so much faster than I can keep up, but I keep trying to read it all! So much good fic! (So much good gen and angst and family fic! Whoo!)

Oh, and this is all from the kinkmeme so far.

EDIT: Okay, I finally read through the dozen new fics since my last sweep and had to add another one. I'll probably also be collecting stuff from ff.net to rec at http://ffnet-goodfic.livejournal.com/ (and I still need to post fic of my own at some point this week. Busy, busy)

Some of these have spoilers for book canon (basically they use the official backstories for the other Guardians and Pitch). I actually enjoyed the movie way more than the books. If you want an overview just LMK.

The End of Easter
Gen - Bunny main. Complete, ~10K.
Official summary: ...or Hope Sparks Brightest in the Dark. In the years after Pitch's attack, Easter's been having trouble getting back on its feet. Pitch just makes things worse for Bunnymund.
Notes: Perfectly IC and character driven.

What the Moonlight Said
Gen - mini fairy and Pitch. Incomplete.
Summary: One of Tooth's little fairies takes an interest in the Bogeyman.
Notes: Second person fic! This is only like the second well-written second person fic I've ever found.

Nightmares for Christmas
Gen - Pitch and the Addams family. Complete, ~3K.
Summary: Wednesday writes to Santa to ask for their lovely nightmares back.
Notes: I think I mentioned this one earlier. Some people love the scary!

Sleepsong
Gen (so far) - Jamie's mom and Pitch. Incomplete.
Summary: Weak after his defeat, Pitch discovers someone who can see him.
Notes: As of this posting this fic has yet to really unfold its plot, but the writing is so good so far I wanted to put in a link.

Bits and Pieces
Gen - Jack main. Complete, ~8K.
Official summary: Jack's been on his own for a long time. He's used to snatching what food he can to get by, but now that he's on the Nice List, that option's off the table. The winter spirit takes it in stride - even when it means he doesn't get very much to eat - but when the other Guardians find out, they think it's a much bigger deal than Jack does.

188 Hugs
Gen - Bunny welcoming Jack into the family. Incomplete (already really long).
Summary: Jack wins a bet and, after going untouched and unloved for so long, requests a hug from Bunny. Very much a family/friendship fic. Also has one of my favorite portrayals of Sandy.
(The comment thread is a bit confusing and some bits are added out of order. The author has promised to put it on AO3 when done if you want to wait.)

From The Old Anew
Gen - Bunny and Jack. Complete, ~8K
Summary: 300 years ago: Bunnymund gets hit by a curse that turns him into a normal bunny rabbit, only to be adopted by a certain young boy.
Notes: Fic that shows a glimpse into Bunny's mind, and also some of Jack's life before he fell through the ice and became Jack Frost.

What is a Name?
Gen - Jack POV. Complete, ~900.
Summary: Jack can't remember his sister's name.
Notes: I could link you dozens of little angsty things on this subject, but this is one of the most beautifully written.

Snow and Honey
Gen - Jack and sister. Complete, ~1100.
Summary: Jack can't stand to see her cry.
Notes: The other most beautifully written of this theme. I actually love this one even more.

Now on to stuff with pairings. Haha... I thought I could go through and pull out one favorite for at least each of the popular pairings, but there's a couple places where I just can't decide. (There's probably more well-written Pitch/Jack I'm missing but some of it feels kinda repetitive and I keep skimming...) Also, I could produce a handful of either cute or gory Tooth/Jack fics (so help me, I love sadistic!Tooth) but I haven't yet found something that I want to go "THIS! READ THIS! NOWNOWNOW!"

Balance
Sandy/Pitch - PG15. Complete, ~1100.
Official Summary: Sandy and Pitch are like two sides of the same coin as the cliché says.
Notes: original prompt was about how Sandy tastes, but this does a lovely job of detailing just how different the two of them are and how they fit!

Dust and Shadow
Sandy/Pitch - angsty. Complete, ~400.
Summary: They can't stay together too long before the dreams and nightmares start trying to take over.
Notes: Very opposite from the above fic. I haven't yet found a long and plotty Sandy/Pitch fic to rec, but these are my favorites of the tasty tidbits available.

Different Ways to Breathe
Pitch/Jack - R. Complete, ~2500.
Summary: Jack takes the time to look after Pitch, but he doesn't realize how long Pitch has been watching him.
Notes: Definitely my favorite fic I've found so far for this pairing. Has necrophilia themes.

When Winter Visits Me
Jack/Jamie - PG13. Complete, ~3K.
Official Summary: And in a way, it's tragic that the softest touch of human-warm skin on Jack is enough to roil his insides, tighten up and loosen, rhythmic and fearful. He's still not used to being seen, to being held, to being believed or -loved-. Jamie makes it all easier, somehow.
Notes: I love this for the characterization, but also for them trying to deal with a problem I find interesting. (also available at ff.net, but with the last little scene removed)

And When He Smiles
Jamie/Jack - T-ish? Complete, ~600.
Summary: Jack doesn't believe he's beautiful.
Notes: Short and sweet. Recing because more Jack comforting is always needed.

Bunny Goes A' Courtin'
Bunny/Jack. Incomplete (with a nice big chunk already).
Summary: When Bunny falls for Jack he decides he has to do things right, and that means courting Jack properly.
Notes: This is my favorite thing I've found for this pairing. It deals with issues like how Jack has been affected by his isolation and the physical and cultural differences between them.
(Currently with big cliffhanger. Again, if you want to wait until it's done LMK.)

Any Which Way the Wind Blows
Bunny/Jack. PG13-ish. Complete, ~2500.
Summary: The Wind knows what Jack wants, even when he doesn't.
Notes: I like the idea of the wind as a character. Again, the characterization in this is fun, especially clueless!Jack.

Autumn Painting
Bunny/Jack. PG13-ish. Complete, ~4K.
Summary: Jack isn't just in charge of frost, but also paints the leaves red in autumn. Trouble is, he's terrible at it. Bunny offers to give him lessons.
Notes: Cute idea based on a bit of folklore.
